About
Data Hub Tourism publishes independent analysis of tourism and hospitality performance across the Commonwealth Caribbean.
Aggregate arrival numbers are already widely available and largely free. They are also backward looking, and they rarely answer the question an operator or a policy maker actually has. Our work sits one layer below the headline: source market mix, forward airlift by airport, accommodation trading conditions, and the divergence between markets that regional averages conceal.
What we publish
- Market analysis across twelve Commonwealth Caribbean destinations
- Airlift and capacity commentary, by airport and by source market
- Accommodation performance, including supply pipeline exposure
- Explanatory pieces on what tourism figures mean for wages, prices and jobs
How we work
Every published piece separates what the data shows from what may be driving it, and states what each source covers. Where a third-party report carries a commercial interest in its own conclusions, we say so.
Who we are
Data Hub Tourism is an independent research practice covering the Commonwealth Caribbean. It was set up to address a specific gap. Aggregate arrival counts are published widely and at no cost, while the layer beneath them, meaning source market composition, forward airlift by airport and accommodation trading conditions, is rarely examined publicly and rarely examined market by market.
The practice draws on senior applied research experience across the region, spanning national tourism administration, strategic planning for Caribbean governments, and economic and demand analysis for multilateral and private sector clients. It works with commercial hospitality and aviation datasets alongside official statistics, and publishes the resulting analysis in full rather than as summary findings.
Published work is produced independently of any client engagement, and the analysis is not for sale.
